Tasty apples, picked with your own hands

Interested in getting outside and experiencing what life is like on a Japanese farm? Or, would you like to get a taste of Nagano's famous crispy and juicy apples, picked right from the tree with your own hands? If so, you will definitely want to try out Yokoya Farm's family-friendly apple picking activity!

Fun for the whole family

The farm & apple orchard itself is run by a friendly, young couple who moved all the way from Big City Tokyo to the farmlands of Matsumoto. It is set on a hillside dotted with traditional Japanese farmhouses, so as you pick apples, you can enjoy a beautiful view of Matsumoto below and the scenes of the countryside.

Besides getting up into the trees and plucking off your own apples, you will also get to make freshly pressed, 100% apple juice with them!

For even more fun, there is an option to build a bonfire and roast whole apples with marshmallows as well. Could there really be a better way to spend a relaxing autumn day with the family?

In their orchard, Yokoya Farm grows a few different kinds of apples including the Shinano Sweet, Shinano Gold, and Sun Fuji varieties. Depending on the exact day you go, you will be able to pick different kinds of apples. Once you're all finished with your apple-picking adventure, you'll even get a couple of these juicy fruits to take home with you as a souvenir!
